The 9th Groundwork Merseyside Environmental Awards for businesses, public authorities, schools and community groups took place on 7th February at the Liverpool Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Organised by Groundwork Merseyside, the Awards is a showcase event that gives community groups, schools, businesses and public authorities an opportunity to demonstrate that they are playing their part in the sustainable development of Merseyside and celebrates the environmental achievements that have been made in the previous year.

This year Liverpool beat the rest of Merseyside to win the prestigious overall Merseyside Environmental Award.
